Methodist College, Medical Solutions Announce Partnership
Published: March 10, 2015OMAHA - Medical Solutions, the nation’s third-largest Travel Nurse staffing company, announced today that they’ve partnered with Nebraska Methodist College (NMC) to establish the Medical Solutions RN-to-BSN Academy.
With this new partnership between the two Omaha-based organizations, RNs employed as Travel Nurses through Medical Solutions will now have access to NMC’s online RN-to-BSN program, through which they can pursue the degree and expand their skill set at a special tuition rate.
“Offering a flexible option for Medical Solutions Travel Nurses to pursue their BSN while also navigating work, travel, and family is an important way to support their professional development,” says Amber Barna, BSN, RN, and Clinical Director of Nursing at Medical Solutions. “Additional career options and enriched skill sets can have a really positive impact on our Travelers’ lives, and we are happy to help them attain that. Nebraska Methodist College has impressive history, a bright future, and offers our Traveler-scholars a dedicated team of faculty and staff who’ll foster their understanding and delivery of holistic care.”
The benefits of pursuing a BSN include greater professional and financial mobility, as well as the ability to provide more advanced, adaptable clinical care.
“The BSN program is beneficial for practicing nurses because it incorporates a community-based approach that prepares these nurses to build connections between new knowledge and actions that enhance their nursing skill-set in an increasingly complex health care delivery system,” says Dr. Susie Ward, PhD, RN, and Director of Nursing and Special Programs at Nebraska Methodist College. “With advanced critical thinking skills, BSN nurses can respond more readily to patient care issues promoting safe and competent care — which complements Medical Solutions’ strong commitment to staffing Travel Nurses who provide superior quality patient care nationwide.”
To qualify for the Academy and special tuition rate, Travel Nurses must be admitted to Nebraska Methodist College’s RN to BSN program, employed with Medical Solutions, and taking two or less classes per term.
