Methodist Community Health Clinic hosts free health fair at Kountze Commons

Community members attended a free community health fair hosted by Methodist Community Health Clinic and Kountze Commons Community Outreach Center on Sept. 21.

The event was open to all and provided access to a variety of free health screenings, preventive care services and educational resources. Attendees also were able to receive blood pressure, A1c and glucose checks; breast exams; skin checks; lung cancer screening information; and flu shots. Participants had the opportunity to learn the signs and symptoms of stroke and heart attack, receive CPR education and connect with experts on smoking cessation, behavioral health and medication management.

In addition to health services, guests enjoyed healthy food samples, exercise and fall prevention tips, and access to the Kountze Food Pantry.
