Methodist Earns 2022 CHIME Digital Health Most Wired Recognition for Acute and Ambulatory Care
Published: Oct. 27, 2022The College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) has announced that Methodist Health System earned 2022 Digital Health Most Wired recognition as Certified Level 7 for acute and ambulatory areas. The achievement is based on results from CHIME’s annual survey that assesses the adoption, integration and impact of technologies in health care organizations.
Organizations in level 7 meet the criteria for being designated as Most Wired. These organizations have deployed technologies and strategies (e.g., population health/cost-of-care analytics, HIEs/integration engines and patient portals) to help them analyze their data and are starting to achieve meaningful clinical and efficiency outcomes. Some of these organizations are experimenting with more advanced technologies, like telehealth, that expand access to care.
“I attribute our continued success to the outstanding resources we have in information technology and throughout our health system,” said Kent Sona, Methodist Health System’s vice president of information technology and chief information officer. “The culture and collaboration here at Methodist is amazing. Everyone comes together to drive innovative solutions that enhance the quality of care for our patients. I’m extremely proud to be part of an organization that has such a strong focus on digital transformation.”
More than 38,000 organizations were represented in the 2022 Digital Health Most Wired survey.
Methodist Health System is one of 10 health care systems across Nebraska and Iowa to achieve Most Wired recognition for acute and one of eight across the two states to achieve Most Wired status in ambulatory.
The Digital Health Most Wired survey and recognition program serves as a comprehensive “Digital Health Check-up” for health care organizations across the world. As success in digital health increasingly determines the quality of patient care, the scope of the CHIME Digital Health Most Wired survey reflects the progress of leading health care providers as they reinvent health care for a new century.
