Methodist Equipment Loan Program partners with Nebraska Recycling Council for durable medical equipment recycling and rehoming event

The Methodist Equipment Loan Program is partnering with the Nebraska Recycling Council, Assistive Technology Partnership and Keep Omaha Beautiful for the "Rescue and Reuse Omaha" event. Equipment from wheelchairs to hospital beds will be cleaned, checked and made available at no charge on the Methodist Hospital campus at 8111 Dodge St., Saturday, April 12 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. 

Donations of equipment will be accepted at the 8111 Building, 8111 Dodge St., on the following days:

Tuesday, April 8: Noon-5 p.m. 
Wednesday, April 9: Noon-5 p.m.
Thursday, April 10: Noon-7 p.m.
Friday, April 11: 8 a.m.-noon

Items to be donated are:

• Lift chairs in good condition (no fabric rips)
• Steel frame hospital beds
• Power and manual wheelchairs
• Hoyer Lifts
• Portable ramps
• Wheelchair Lifts
• Stair lifts
• Seated wheel walkers
• Clean tub chairs and benches
• Power scooters
• Regular aluminum walkers w/rubber feet or slides on back
• Crutches
• Canes
• Unopened, non-expired basic medical/first aid supplies
