Methodist Fremont Health’s Center for Wound Healing has once again been recognized for exceptional clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction, earning three prestigious awards from Healogics, the nation’s leading provider of advanced wound care services.
For 2025, the center received:
- The President’s Circle Award – Healogics’ highest honor, awarded to centers that demonstrate outstanding clinical and operational performance. Out of nearly 600 centers nationwide, only 35 earned this distinction in 2025. This marks the third consecutive year Methodist Fremont Health has achieved this elite recognition.
- The Center of Distinction Award – Presented to centers that achieve a patient satisfaction rate above 92% and a comprehensive healing rate of at least 77%.
- The Robert A. Warriner, III, MD Clinical Excellence Award – Awarded to centers ranking in the top 10% of eligible wound care centers for clinical excellence, measured by comprehensive healing rates weighted by wound variety.
The Center for Wound Healing provides advanced, evidence‑based treatment for patients suffering from diabetic foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, infections and other chronic or non‑healing wounds. Its multidisciplinary team follows a comprehensive clinical pathway designed to improve healing outcomes and enhance quality of life.
“These recognitions reflect the unwavering dedication of our entire team,” said Betsy Flores, BSN, RN, program director of the Methodist Fremont Health Center for Wound Healing. “Every patient who walks through our doors brings a unique story and challenge. Our goal is always to meet them with compassion, expertise, and a commitment to restoring their health and independence. Being honored again this year is incredibly meaningful, but the true reward is seeing our patients heal and return to the lives they love.”
Methodist Fremont Health’s advanced wound care modalities include negative pressure wound therapy, total contact casting, bioengineered tissue and biosynthetic dressings, and growth factor therapies. The center also operates two hyperbaric oxygen chambers, which deliver 100% pressurized oxygen to accelerate healing for conditions such as soft tissue radionecrosis, chronic refractory osteomyelitis and advanced diabetic ulcers.
The clinic is led by medical director Adam Pentel, DO, program director Betsy Flores, BSN, RN, and clinical nurse manager Abbie Nieman, RN.
