Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital Celebrates 135 Years

Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital celebrated the 135th birthday of the hospital’s name-sake — Jennie Hart Edmundson — on Sunday.

As in years past, a bouquet of red roses was placed under the portrait of Jennie Edmundson at the hospital.

“The hospital was truly founded by the women in the community,” Edward Lynn, a member of the Methodist Jennie Edmundson Board of Directors said. “I like to see the annual recognition of Jennie is also a recognition of those women.”
