Methodist's Ellen McElderry Shares Tips on How To Focus on Mental Health Around the Holidays

Published: Dec. 20, 2021

Methodist Hospital Community Counseling Program manager Ellen McElderry, LIMHP, LADC, joined Julie Cornell on KETV's Chronicle and shared some tips about how to focus on your mental health around the holidays. She shared about the importance of finding ways to remember loved ones who may not be around this year, taking time to focus on yourself and making sure that our calendars are manageable.

"Make things simple. We need to focus on the quality of time we're spending with people and not the quantity of time we're spending at activities," McElderry said.

She also noted that this past year has helped us find more creative ways to reach out to people who may feel lonely.
