Miracle Baby Buddy, Born at 14.1 ounces at Methodist Women's Hospital, Is Home and Thriving

Published: Jan. 16, 2024

On Dec. 29, John Budd McClinton – or Buddy for short – was discharged from the Methodist Women’s Hospital NICU.

Buddy weighed 14.1 ounces and measured 9.65 inches when he was born on Labor Day, and he is the smallest baby born at the hospital to survive.

For his parents, Ashley and John McClinton of Lincoln, who had lost another child at birth, Buddy’s homecoming was especially bittersweet.
