Omaha World-Herald: Early Detection of Lung Cancer Now Covered

Jerry Moore started smoking when he was 18. He stopped for good when he was 58.

"I was always concerned about possible cancer,” said Moore, now 73.

In 2007, the Omahan saw an ad in The World-Herald about a study being conducted at Methodist Hospital in which participants got a low-dose CT scan on their lungs every year. He was accepted into the study.
