One Doctor, One Family, Many Stories
A Special Bond
Julie Frolio has been seeing Thomas Martin, MD for thirty-two years. Dr. Martin has helped Julie through several miscarriages. Julie has always felt a special connection between the two of them. She appreciated the time he took to get to know her as a person.
Continuing In the Family
Dr. Martin delivered Julie’s first daughter, Danielle. When it came time for Danielle to start thinking about a family, she immediately picked Dr. Martin. Unfortunately, Danielle learned that he was retiring from delivering babies. Dr. Martin told Danielle if she wanted him in the delivery room, she would have to be pregnant by the end of the year.
Danielle and her husband were happily surprised when they learned they were pregnant. Dr. Martin was there for her as she faced some complications to the pregnancy. “Knowing that you are in the best hands possible took the edge off,” said Julie. In December of 2013, Danielle and her husband welcomed seven-pound Knox to their family.
Giving Back
Julie is thankful to Methodist for all they have done for her and her family over the years. More than five years ago she began volunteering at Methodist Women’s Hospital. “Just to be there for the moms, like people were there for me,” she said.
