Donations for Back to School Backpack Program accepted through August 3.

Methodist Health System is proud to again partner with KETV and the Omaha Salvation Army for the Back to School Backpack Program.

The annual campaign provides school supplies to families in Omaha, Council Bluffs and Fremont, helping children begin the school year with the tools they need to be successful. Here’s how you can help:

What to donate

While all donations will be accepted, the items most needed are:

  • Backpacks
  • Rulers
  • Spiral notebooks
  • Erasers
  • Glue
  • Crayons
  • Colored pencils
  • Theme paper
  • Two-pocket folders
  • Pens
  • Pencils
  • Reusable water bottles
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Tissues

Where to donate

School supplies can be dropped off through August 3 at participating Methodist Health System Urgent Care locations, Metro Credit Union, Cubby's and Salvation Army locations.

KETV, the Salvation Army and other sponsors will also be accepting donations at Methodist Women’s Hospital on Wednesday, July 29, from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Public drop-off sites around Methodist Health System

Members of the public can drop off school supplies through Aug. 3 at Methodist Urgent Care locations from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays and noon to 6 p.m. on weekends. The locations are:
