Mobile mammography is treated as any other 3D mammogram appointment and is a covered benefit by most insurance companies.

At Methodist, we are excited to partner with local organizations to create a strategy for better health for your employees. Access to mammograms for early detection and treatment of breast cancer has never been more important, yet Nebraska ranks a low 40th in the nation in the percentage of women 40 and older who report having a mammogram within the past two years.

Sections of Douglas and Saunders counties have been named priority screening access areas by Susan G. Komen Great Plains due to dramatically higher rates of late-stage breast cancer diagnosis and death due to breast cancer.

Fully Accredited and Certified

Our 3D mobile mammography unit is fully accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR), certified by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and professionally staffed. Patients receive digital mammography screening with computer aided detection (CAD) and a report from a board-certified radiologist within seven to 10 business days. A report will also be faxed to the patient’s primary care provider.
