Omaha's First Baby of 2023 Born 1 Minute Into New Year

Caroline Frances Swanson is just days old and already in the spotlight.

The 7-pound, 10-ounce baby girl was born on Jan. 1, 2023, at 12:01 a.m., and her parents called her birth moment magical.

"When it was about to strike midnight when we knew the baby was right there. One of the nurses said, 'You guys should kiss at midnight, and we'll have this baby." It struck midnight, we said Happy New Year, we kissed and then we had this baby," said her father, Ben.
