8 Methodist Hospital nurses honored with 40 Under 40 Awards
Published: Oct. 24, 2024The Nebraska Organization of Nursing Leadership and the Nebraska Nurses Association (NNA) recognized 40 emerging nurse leaders under age 40 from across the state at the NNA convention in Kearney on Oct. 3-4.
Among those honored with 40 Under 40 Awards were eight Methodist Hospital nurses:
- Amanda Bedel, MSN, RN, MEDSURG-BC, a nurse coordinator in Medical Observation
- Ryan Carnahan, BSN, RN, GERO-BC, a nurse coordinator in the Cardiac Unit
- Lindsay Eyer, BSN, RN, CMSRN, a nurse coordinator in Medical Observation
- Tim Hoarty, MSN, RN, CCRN, a nurse coordinator in Cardiovascular Surgery
- Jordyn Kreifels, BSN, RN, GERO-BC, a registered nurse in the ACE (Acute Care for Elders) Unit
- Jess Patterson, BSN, RN GERO-BC, a nurse coordinator in Cardiovascular Surgery
- Ellie Rubenfeld, MSN, RN, CCRN, service leader for Cardiovascular Surgery
- Andy Sass, BSN, RN, CIC, service leader for Epidemiology and Infection Prevention/Control
Honorees were recognized as young professionals who significantly or uniquely contribute to leadership within the nursing profession through clinical practice, education and teaching, administrative leadership, research, writing/publishing, policy involvement/self-governance, and/or health care innovation. They positively promote and advance the nursing profession in the community through volunteerism or outreach efforts and are involved in local/state/organizational policy development or legislative work.
