Douglas County Health Department, Methodist Partnering for Additional COVID-19 Vaccination Location

Published: March 16, 2021

The Douglas County Health Department and Methodist Health System are partnering on a new community COVID-19 vaccination clinic as demand for vaccination increases and more age groups become eligible.

The clinic, located at 720 N. 114th St., will be offering vaccination appointments on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Wednesday hours will be from noon to 6 p.m., and Saturday appointments will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

“Partnerships like this with Methodist Health System is how we will beat COVID-19,” Douglas County Health Director Dr. Adi Pour said. “This is a major advancement in those efforts.

The clinic conducted a soft launch on Saturday, March 13, when more than 400 vaccinations were administered to educators including university staff from the Douglas County Community.

“As a health care system, we truly understand the importance and significance of the COVID-19 vaccine in our community,” said Steve Goeser, president and CEO of Methodist Health System. “We are pleased to be partnering with the Douglas County Health Department on this new location – meaning more appointments and more shots in arms – which is critical, as COVID-19 is still very present in our community.”

The new location will soon be available on the Douglas County Health Department website. Vaccinations at this clinic are by appointment only and must be scheduled through the health department web site’s scheduling process.
