Dr. Dudgeon Is Now Seeing Patients at Methodist Fremont Health Family Care
Published: Dec. 10, 2019Dr. Janae Dudgeon, who has joined the staff at Methodist Fremont Health Family Care, loves building relationships with every member of a family.
“You get to know the infants, the parents and the grandparents,” said Dr. Dudgeon, a board-certified family medicine physician. “It’s amazing getting to take care of an entire family, seeing them through the difficult times and celebrating their achievements.”
A Fremont native, Dr. Dudgeon decided medicine was her calling after shadowing her pediatrician during high school. She went on to study life sciences and biology at Wayne State College before attending medical school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She completed her family medicine residency at the Lincoln Medical Education Partnership in Lincoln, Nebraska. She previously practiced at Syracuse Area Health in Syracuse, Nebraska.
Dr. Dudgeon treats a variety of conditions but is especially interested in preventive care.
“I really like to talk about nutrition and helping you live your best life before we develop any diseases,” she said. Regardless of the reason for a visit, she’s committed to providing the best care to all of her patients.
“When patients come to see me, I want them to know that I’m caring for them as I’d care for my parents or another loved one,” she said. “I truly care how you do and what your outcome is.”
In her free time, Dr. Dudgeon likes spending time outdoors and traveling with her husband and two children. She and her husband also are mentors through Big Brothers Big Sisters.
