Dr. Jennifer Diamond joins family medicine team at Methodist Physicians Clinic - HealthWest
Published: Oct. 1, 2025Jennifer Diamond, DO, originally wanted to be a veterinarian, but in high school she shifted her focus to caring for people after her grandmother spent time in a nursing home.
Dr. Diamond, who sees patients at Methodist Physicians Clinic – HealthWest, chose to specialize in family medicine because she enjoys getting to know patients of all ages.
“Family medicine seemed like a good fit because you get to see people throughout their entire lives,” she said. “And that’s a real privilege.”
She has a particular interest in preventive medicine, especially for women.
“Preventive care is such a crucial part of making sure you’re living a long, healthy life,” she said.
Dr. Diamond is dedicated to understanding a patient’s medical history to ensure that she’s providing an individualized health plan.
“The only way that you’re going to get to the bottom of their history is being able to sit down and talk to them about what has happened previously,” she said. “It can’t be a rushed experience. It can’t be a two-minute visit. You really have to sit down and listen.”
She believes the most rewarding part of her job is being part of someone’s life during the good times and the hard times.
When she’s not seeing patients, Dr. Diamond enjoys spending time with her family and their dachshund – Walter Disney. She also enjoys traveling, participating in cycling classes and hiking. She has a goal to visit all the Disney parks in the world.
