Dr. Namatra Damle joins family medicine team at Methodist Physicians Clinic - Risen Son

Published: Sept. 30, 2026

Namrata Damle, MD, pursued a career in medicine because of the way her pediatrician cared for her and her sister.

“She really made space for our thoughts and values and tried to celebrate our milestones along the way,” Dr. Damle said.

A family medicine physician at Methodist Physicians Clinic - Risen Son, Dr. Damle enjoys caring for patients across all ages and backgrounds.

“I enjoy the variety of it and being the home base for patients so they can come see me for all kinds of things,” she said.

Dr. Damle is passionate about preventive care, women’s health and chronic disease management. She enjoys performing procedures such as joint injections, skin biopsies and wart removals.

She also specializes in sleep medicine.

“Your sleep health is so important for your overall health – and not just for your own health but for your whole family. Sleep can really change the shape of your day.”

Dr. Damle believes that good communication and trust are important for the patient-provider relationship.

“When a patient comes in with their priorities, it’s my job as a doctor to listen to those priorities and make sure that they’re at the heart of any medical decision that’s being made,” she said. “I really want patients to feel like they’re offered choices and they’re able to make the best choice for them.”

Fluent in Marathi – an Indo-Aryan language – Dr. Damle comes from a non-English speaking background, so she understands the importance of patients communicating in a language they’re comfortable with.

Outside of work, Dr. Damle enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, doing jigsaw puzzles, and making floral arrangements.
