Dr. Patrick Drazkowski joins staff at Methodist Physicians Clinic - Gretna
Published: July 31, 2026Patrick Drazkowski, MD, has a unique perspective when it comes to caring for patients.
“I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes while I was in medical school as a young adult,” he said. “That personal experience has given me a different perspective and understanding of what patients and families go through every day. I believe it helps me connect with them in a meaningful way and better support them medically and personally.”
Dr. Drazkowski specializes in internal medicine and pediatrics at Methodist Physicians Clinic - Gretna. He’s especially passionate about caring for patients with chronic conditions, as well as helping teens and young adults through transitions in life and healthcare.
“A lot of people that age aren't comfortable going and talking with their doctor, or young adults might not have someone that they're comfortable seeing,” he said. “I like that I can be that person that's there for you to reach out to, even if you're healthy.”
Dr. Drazkowski strives to show each of his patients respect, honesty, support and compassion. In that environment, he believes, meaningful relationships can bloom.
“The best part of my job is really getting to know people over a long period of time and building those relationships. I've found that with kids, parents, teens and young adults, it's really fun to get to know them, see them progress through life and succeed, and support them in their health along that journey. I value the opportunity to make a positive impact for them every day.”
Outside of work, Dr. Drazkowski’s life revolves around his family. He also enjoys making pizza and coffee, spending time outdoors, watching and playing hockey, and running.
