Dr. Pothuloori Joins MPC OB/GYN at Indian Hills, 192 Dodge

OMAHA  - An OB/GYN expert, with stops as a physician in Kentucky, Colorado, Illinois and California, is returning to her Nebraska roots and has joined the Metro’s largest OB/GYN clinical practice at Methodist Physicians Clinic Women’s Center.

Dr. Antara Pothuloori attended college at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and earned her medical degree at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Her residency training took her to the Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center.

“Having been in many different locations, one thing I think is unique about Methodist is the professionalism and the commitment to patient care,” Dr. Pothuloori said. “I haven’t been a part of an organization so well organized that also pays attention to the details - the little things that are important when providing patient care.”

Following an internship and her residency, Dr. Pothuloori returned to Lincoln and followed her family to Colorado and Kentucky.

“I don’t think I could identify one favorite moment,” she said. “As you start getting so many wonderful moments during your career it really becomes about the experiences. It’s about getting to deliver more than one baby in a single family and seeing them grow up. It’s about being a part of a women’s life through many stages. All of these contribute to so many wonderful moments and you know you have been a part of something positive.”

In addition to her obstetrics specialty, she also has expertise in minimally invasive surgery and procedures such as endometrial thermal ablations, colposcopy and hysteroscopy.
