Dr. Woodworth New Vice President of Academic Affairs
Published: May 27, 2015OMAHA - Dr. Jody Woodworth joins Nebraska Methodist College as the vice president of academic affairs.
She has worked in health care as a lead nuclear medicine technologist and then in higher education for 19 years, both as a faculty member and senior administrator, working her way up to vice president of academic affairs.
Dr. Woodworth brings to Nebraska Methodist College a diverse education and expertise in the areas of program development, online delivery, student learning outcomes and accreditation.
“Dr. Woodworth is an accomplished educator, scholar and administrator and she exemplifies the Nebraska Methodist College mission of teaching the meaning of care,” said Dennis Joslin, president and CEO of Nebraska Methodist College. “As we continue to set record enrollments, Jody’s student-centered focus, entrepreneurial spirit and team building skills will serve us well. It is a pleasure to welcome an exceptional Omaha native into the NMC family.”
Born and raised in Omaha, Dr. Woodworth graduated from Benson High School and attended the University of Nebraska Medical Center, where she received her bachelor of science in nuclear medicine technology.
She attended the University of Nebraska – Lincoln, where she graduated with a master of arts in economics, and continued her education earning a doctorate from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln in educational administration with a concentration in higher education.
Dr. Woodworth was inducted into the Benson High School Hall of Fame and received the Outstanding Economics Alumni Award from UNO among many other honors and also served as a visiting scholar at a number of universities both in the U.S. and abroad.
She has served in leadership positions on numerous boards including the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education, the University of Nebraska Economic Advisory Board, Community Health Charities of Nebraska and Tabitha Senior Care in Lincoln.
