Jennie Edmundson Foundation’s Dance to the Beat Event Returns as an In-Person Fundraiser on Feb. 17
Published: Jan. 23, 2023In an effort to celebrate American Heart Month and raise funds for uninsured and underinsured cardiac patients at Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital, Jennie Edmundson Foundation is announcing the return of its Dance to the Beat fundraiser in person this year.
The event is set to kick off at the Mid-America Center in Council Bluffs on Friday, Feb. 17, at 7 p.m. Guests can expect live music from the popular local cover band Taxi Driver, as well as raffles, prizes, a silent auction, light appetizers, drinks and more.
Proceeds from the event will continue providing support for cardiac patients in need of treatment, rehabilitation, medication, transportation and everyday living expenses.
“It’s not surprising that more and more people are choosing Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital for their heart care needs,” said Rachel Reis, director of Jennie Edmundson volunteer services and the Foundation. “We want to ensure that no patient is turned away from Jennie Edmundson’s nationally accredited, lifesaving services and board-certified specialists who provide outreach to several western Iowa communities.”
This year’s event will be hosted by Methodist Physicians Clinic Cardiology in Council Bluffs with honorary co-chairs John and Barb Burns.
