Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital’s Cardiovascular Diagnostic Center, vascular lab and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation teams each received reaccreditations for their dedication to patient-centered care and commitment to meeting the latest standards of care.
The Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital Cardiovascular Diagnostic Center has been honored with the silver milestone award from the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC). The award recognizes the cardiovascular diagnostic center for maintaining echocardiography accreditation for 25 years.
“Echocardiography has seen many advancements in the last 25 years. Methodist Jennie Edmundson has worked hard to stay abreast of these changes and incorporate them as the IAC recommends,” said William (Bryan) Carolus, RDCS, BSN, RN, sonographer at the Jennie Edmundson Cardiovascular Diagnostic Center. “We look forward to continued IAC accreditation in the future and plan to always maintain the necessary flexibility to incorporate any changes that the standards dictate.”
Jennie Edmundson is one of only 61 facilities across the U.S. that qualified for the silver milestone in 2025.
Jennie Edmundson’s vascular lab has been granted another three-year term of accreditation by the IAC in noninvasive vascular testing (peripheral arterial testing, extracranial cerebrovascular testing and peripheral venous testing). This latest accreditation demonstrates the vascular lab’s ongoing commitment to providing quality patient care in vascular testing.
Accreditation by the IAC indicates that the vascular lab has undergone an intensive application and review process and is found to be in compliance with the published standards, thus demonstrating a commitment to quality patient care in vascular testing.
Jennie Edmundson’s cardiopulmonary rehabilitation team was reaccredited (three-year term) by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR).
The cardiopulmonary rehabilitation team is committed to helping patients with cardiovascular and pulmonary health issues recover faster and live healthier through exercise, education and support for patients and their families.
AACVPR-certified programs are leaders in the cardiovascular and pulmonary rehabilitation field because they offer the most advanced practices available and have proven track records of high-quality patient care.
