Published: June 7, 2022

Medical Group Management Association (MGMA), the nation’s largest medical practice management association, has honored Todd Grages, president and CEO of Methodist Physicians Clinic (MPC), for his important contributions to the health care industry and dedication to medical practice excellence.

Grages, who oversees one of the largest multispecialty medical groups in Nebraska, was voted “Distinguished Leader” by the MGMA and American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE) board of directors. The board recognized him for his long-standing involvement with the organization, volunteer service and enthusiasm for educating current and future leaders in the health care industry.

He is just the 61st member of over 60,000 total members to receive this designation.

“I am truly humbled by this honor,” Grages said. “I believe strongly in MGMA not only as an organization but also for the leadership and training it has provided through the years. It has given me the tools needed to help build Methodist Physicians Clinic into one of the leading health care providers in our region.”

As a medical practice executive, Grages is committed to achieving and maintaining a culture of excellence. MPC has been in the top 5% nationally in the American Medical Group Association Provider Satisfaction Survey since 2012, and it achieved its highest performance, within the 97th percentile, in 2020.

“This distinction recognizes individuals who lead our industry day in and day out and have a passion for shaping the future of health care. Todd is the perfect example of that — and we are grateful for his involvement with MGMA,” said Halee Fischer-Wright, MD, MMM, FAAP, FACMPE, president and chief executive officer of MGMA. “From his service as a board chair with MGMA-ACMPE to his powerful work with Methodist Physicians Clinic, Todd continues to prove himself as a ‘Distinguished Leader’ every single day.”

Grages is a fellow of the American College of Medical Practice Executives and a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. He served on the board of directors of the Medical Group Management Association for seven years. He functioned as chair of the MGMA Board of Directors in 2018-2019. He has also served the MGMA as a past member of the certification commission and a member of the ACMPE Examinations Committee, where he was chair in 2013.

Grages currently serves the MGMA as a member of the Certification Commission that oversees the ACMPE Board Certification and Fellowship programs.

As part of the distinction, Grages will receive a lifetime MGMA-ACMPE membership and other benefits. For more information, visit:
