Methodist Physicians Clinic Prairie Fields Welcomes Dr. Neuberger
Published: Aug. 27, 2020Nathan Neuberger, DO, is committed to taking a holistic approach when caring for family medicine patients.
“To me, The Meaning of Care is an all-encompassing term,” said Dr. Neuberger, who is now seeing patients at Methodist Physicians Clinic Prairie Fields. “It should include physical, emotional and spiritual aspects, and all of those need to be taken into account when addressing any sort of problem a patient or their families might have.”
Dr. Neuberger completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, then attended medical school at the Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed a general surgery internship at the University of Missouri in Columbia and his family medicine residency at Broadlawns Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.
His medical interests include colon cancer screenings and other preventive care strategies.
Dr. Neuberger strives to build trust with each patient by taking the time to listen and letting them know that they’re in control of their care.
“It’s important to establish an environment where the patient feels they can be open and express any concerns that they might have, knowing that they’re not going to be judged on any of their answers,” he said. “My job is strictly to guide you and ensure that we’re doing everything possible for the best long-term health outcomes.”
Dr. Neuberger, whose wife is a Fremont native, said he’s excited for the chance to care for friends and neighbors and get involved in the community. When he’s not seeing patients, he enjoys spending time with family and his 100-pound Newfoundland – a “gentle giant.” He also likes air boating on the Platte River, water skiing at Lake Okoboji, gardening and cheering on the Husker football team.
