Methodist Health System is proud to sponsor Heartland Honors 9/11, a greater Omaha community-driven initiative designed to bring people together to remember, reflect and say thank you as we approach the 25th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.
Heartland Honors 9/11 is an opportunity to honor first responders, service members, medical professionals and volunteers who run toward danger, care for others and serve our communities every day. It’s also a chance to come together in a shared spirit of gratitude, service and unity.
Community members are encouraged to get involved – no act is too small to make a difference!
Ways to get involved
11 days of volunteer service
Service is a powerful way to express gratitude and remembrance.
From Sept. 1 to 11, people of all ages are encouraged to support any cause that’s meaningful to them through volunteering and acts of kindness. It can be as simple as giving blood, donating to a food pantry or helping a neighbor with a task.
