Methodist welcomes nephrologist Dr. Eric Magliulo
Published: Oct. 7, 2025Growing up in Hawaii, Eric Magliulo, MD, was inspired by his father – an internal medicine physician – to pursue a career in medicine.
“I was most inspired by the appreciation and gratitude that his patients had for the care he provided,” he said.
Dr. Magliulo, a nephrologist who sees patients at Methodist Physicians Clinic – Nephrology, enjoys the complexity of managing kidney disease and the multispecialty collaboration it often entails. He has a particular interest in treating glomerular diseases – conditions in which the filters in the kidneys that are responsible for removing waste are damaged.
When it comes to The Meaning of Care, he said it’s all about putting the patient first and individualizing their care – something the entire health system works together to achieve.
“I find the teamwork and collaborative environment of Methodist to be an ideal workplace as a health care provider,” Dr. Magliulo said. “It’s very rewarding to be a part of.”
His promise to his patients is this: “I will help you fully understand your health condition and explain all the treatment options available to you. Most importantly, I will work with you to determine the best course of action in your care.”
Dr. Magliulo enjoys spending his free time grilling out with family and friends, traveling with his wife, gardening and going on walks with his miniature Australian shepherd.
