Nebraska Fertility Specialists Concerned Abortion Laws Could Hamper Families

Many families and doctors are concerned that the passage of new laws further restricting access to abortion in the U.S. and the likely overturning of Roe v. Wade could have the unwanted side effect of preventing people from using in vitro fertilization to add to their families.

Dr. Abigail Delaney, a reproductive health specialist with Methodist Reproductive Health Specialists, was one of two area specialists who spoke with the Omaha World-Herald about the issue, including whether language in legislation allows clinics to freeze extra embryos for future use.
