New Methodist Physicians Clinic Cass Street Location Brings More Care Options to Central Omaha

OMAHA  -  Methodist Physicians Clinic is proud to announce the opening of a centrally located Omaha clinic and the addition of new internal medicine doctors.

Methodist Physicians Clinic Cass Street at 8019 Cass St. is home to Dr. Karen Joyce, Dr. M. Alexander Shehan and Dr. Julia Mullen.

“As the central Omaha area continues to grow with young families, the Cass Street clinic allows us to serve and offer care to more patients,” said Mick Ehlert, vice president of Methodist Physicians Clinic. “It’s also close to Methodist Hospital and other ancillary services that help doctors provide the best care for their patients.”

The internists calling the clinic home bring a wealth of experience to Methodist.

Dr. Joyce earned her medical degree from Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine and completed her internal medicine internship and residency at Loyola University Medical Center. She earned a bachelor’s degree in microbiology from the University of Notre Dame.

She previously practiced at Think Whole Person Healthcare in Omaha, Physicians of Internal Medicine in Omaha and Internal Medicine Associates in Omaha. She was honorably discharged from the United States Air Force with the rank of major after four years of active-duty service.

Dr. Shehan received his medical degree from Creighton University Medical School and completed an internal medicine residency at Creighton University’s affiliated hospitals. He earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from Creighton University.

He previously practiced at Think Whole Person Healthcare in Omaha and Physicians of Internal Medicine in Omaha.

Dr. Mullen previously practiced at Physicians of Internal Medicine in Omaha and Think Whole Person Healthcare in Omaha.

“We’re thrilled to be able to welcome four high-quality physicians to our deep pool of providers,” Ehlert said. “Having their expertise and increasing the number of people we can provide primary care to is a win-win for Methodist.”
