Physicians Clinic Announces Flu Shot Clinic Dates

Flu season is right around the corner and now is the perfect time to get your flu shot.

The Centers for Disease Control recommends a yearly flu vaccine as the best step to protect yourself against the flu virus.

Persons who get the flu vaccine can reduce illness related to the flu, lessen doctor’s visits, missed work and school.

According to the CDC, everyone 6 months and older should get the flu vaccine by the end of October to increase its effectiveness.

It is recommended to get the shot, not the nasal flu spray for the upcoming flu season.

Methodist Physicians Clinic locations providing flu shot clinics are as follows:

• Sept. 23, Oct. 7, Oct. 28 and Nov. 11
  Methodist Physicians Clinic HealthWest from 8 to 11 a.m.

• Sept. 28, Oct. 12, Oct. 26 and Nov. 2
  Methodist Physicians Clinic Indian Hills from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.
   

• Oct. 10 and Oct. 24
  Methodist Physicians Clinic Council Bluffs from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.
   
• Oct. 5, Oct. 19 and Nov. 2
