Registration Open for Babysitting Basics Class at Methodist Women's Hospital Campus
Published: May 12, 2021Registration is now open for Babysitting Basics, a program presented by the Methodist Women's Hospital childbirth education team.
Babysitting Basics class is for youths 11 and older who are preparing to begin a babysitting career.
This four-hour training will offer the necessary safety knowledge and skills for youth babysitters to responsible care for infants and children. Included in the class:
- Basic child care will be demonstrated and practiced, including handwashing, feeding, diapering and calming techniques.
- Family and Friends CPR (non-certificate), which offers lifesaving skills and education in a group environment.
- Participants will also learn babysitting etiquette and fun activities to keep children engaged and entertained.
Space is limited, and classes fill quickly.
