After working with Physics and Computer Planning, Inc. in Charlotte, N.C., Rodgers returned to Methodist in 2001 to become service leader of Methodist Hospital’s radiation oncology and Gamma Knife center.

During her time as service leader in radiation oncology, Rodgers oversaw the day-to-day operations, fiscal decisions and strategic planning for the department. She also supervised the $14 million equipment upgrade and expansion in 2004, the opening of the department’s satellite clinic in 2009 and the 2010 radioactive source reload of the Gamma Knife.

Komen.

Rodgers earned her Bachelor of Science degree in radiation oncology at Howard University in Washington, D.C., and completed the executive master of business administration program at the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 2004.

She is married to Douglas County Commissioner, Chris Rodgers. They have two sons, Ellis and Evan.
