Congratulations to Amber Williams, BSN, RNC-OB, C-EFM, a charge nurse on the Women and Newborns floor at Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital, for being honored with The DAISY Award. Her nominator wrote:

“In the midst of uncertainty, after the operation, after Lilian was transported to Women’s, and before going into the ICU, I had a disconcerting call with the NICU doctor and was reaching my peak stress. Amber stopped me while walking to the ICU and helped me interpret how I was communicated to. That was greatly comforting. She was patient and took care of me, the third wheel -- Dad. It's hard to point out a specific moment, because from her initial positive ‘hello’ and treating us as friends, to her giving our son, John, a sticker and engaging with him after it was all relatively over, we felt special and taken care of. The whole team is amazing; we’ve had a 10 out of 10 experience, but Amber is inimitable.”
