Unit Leader

For Jan Walraven, BSN, RN, RAC-CT, long-term care “has always been my passion.” 

She began her health care journey at age 16, working as a nursing assistant. Now a registered nurse and certified assessment coordinator, Walraven, a unit leader at Dunklau Gardens has more than 15 years of experience conducting federally mandated resident assessments.

She has worked elsewhere in hospice care, acute care and leadership, but Dunklau Gardens is the first five-star facility Walraven has been a part of. Its mission and vision, she feels, rival its home-like atmosphere.

“The staff at Dunklau truly do love their residents as if they are a part of the family,” Walraven said.
