Methodist offers robust physical, occupational and speech therapy programs for survivors. Talk to your health care provider to determine which therapy services may benefit you.
Physical Therapy
Our physical therapists work with you to address:
- Balance issues
- Range of motion and strength deficits
- Incontinence and sexual dysfunction
- Lymphedema
- Muscle reeducation
- Scar management
Occupational Therapy
Our occupational therapists help enhance the skills necessary for daily living. They offer specialized training and therapeutic techniques to address energy conservation and lymphedema. They also provide evaluations for safety and equipment needs.
Speech Therapy
If your speech and swallowing are affected by cancer or treatment, our speech therapists provide diagnostic evaluations and offer:
- Diet modifications
- Posture techniques
- Pretreatment counseling
- Swallowing therapy
- Voice education and therapy
