Why Methodist?
Methodist offers Mohs micrographic surgery, an advanced outpatient technique for removing skin cancer that boasts a 99% cure rate for certain diagnoses. Our team of dermatologists, head and neck oncologists and surgical oncologists offers a collaborative approach to treating basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma and melanoma. We also offer clinical trials to eligible patients.
Treatment
Depending on your type and stage of cancer, your treatment at Methodist may include a referral to our head and neck oncology clinic or our surgical oncology clinic. Your care plan may include:

They’re dedicated to helping you understand what it takes to protect your body’s largest organ. While they provide routine skin cancer screenings, they also offer instruction for self-exams – your best chance at early detection.
I wasn’t afraid of dying. I was afraid of my kids growing up without a dad. I was afraid of my wife raising them without a husband. I believe I’m here for a reason. I don’t know what that reason is. We’ll find out. Maybe we already have.
