Katie Pafford, LIMHP
Although she started her college career with a focus on teaching, Katie Pafford, LIMHP, shifted her attention to counseling after developing an interest in working with families and their day-to-day concerns. Today, she continues to enjoy working with youths and their families through the Methodist Hospital Community Counseling Program. She also has experience with a variety of populations and enjoys learning more about community needs.
She believes that trust is the most important part of her relationships with clients.
“They need to know that they’re in good hands in order to be ready and willing to start working on their goals,” Pafford said.
She relishes learning new ways to help her clients reach their goals, and she finds fulfillment when they reach out to her years after therapy to share their successes.
Outside of counseling, Pafford enjoys spending time with her family and two dogs, Hazel and Koda. She also likes going for walks and reading.
