Jerry Vobejda, LIMHP
Program Supervisor
Jerry Vobejda, LIMHP, believes that connection is the foundation of healing.
“When individuals feel safe, understood, and accepted, they are more able to explore the challenges they often keep hidden from the rest of the world,” he said.
As clinical supervisor for the Methodist Community Counseling Program, Vobejda enjoys creating a space where people’s thoughts and emotions are welcomed without judgement.
“Demonstrating empathy and honoring each person’s inherent worth helps them feel that their experiences matter and that their concerns are valid,” he said.
Vobejda has worked in the behavioral health field for more than 30 years, including the last two decades as a licensed mental health practitioner and, most recently, as a clinical supervisor.
As the Methodist Community Counseling Program strives to meet each person where they are, Vobejda’s goal as is to support practitioners so they can reach their maximum professional potential and provide high-quality care to the diverse population they serve.
He believes the program plays a vital role in the lives of individuals and families who may often be overlooked or underserved.
“My hope is to keep building bridges for more people in the Omaha community and to help foster a sense of hope that carries them forward.”
