Our online forms are available on a secure webpage in English and Spanish. All employees’ information will be sent directly to Methodist Health System registrars, who will confidentially enter all patient information into our patient records system.

Patients FAQs
-
The American College of Radiology recommends that women age 40 and older should get a yearly screening mammogram for as long as a woman is in good health. If you have symptoms, such as a lump, discharge, other abnormalities, or a family history of breast issues, it may be recommended to start screening at an early age.
Our services provide screenings for patients who:
- Are age 40 or older
- Had their last mammogram more than one year age
- Are not pregnant or breastfeeding
- Do not have breast issues such as a lump, pain or discharge
- Are ambulatory and able to maneuver the stairs to enter the coach
- Screening patients should not be pregnant or should not have breastfed the previous 6 months. We are unable to see male patients or female patients who need a diagnostic mammogram.
The cost of the mammogram is filed with the patient's personal insurance company. Most insurance providers consider a mammogram to be health maintenance and cover the cost completely. No co-pay will be collected at the time of your exam on the Methodist Mobile Mammography coach.
Before your visit to the Methodist Mobile Mammography coach, please review your health insurance plan or call your insurance company to clarify your specific policy benefits and requirements.
Our coach is not wheelchair accessible.
You should not wear any lotions, perfumes or deodorants above the waist on the day of the mammogram. These products may have ingredients that can interfere with scans. We also encourage you to wear a two-piece outfit so you do not have to fully undress.
Please bring your insurance card and a current ID.
The entire exam, including the registration process, will take approximately 15 minutes.
No.
Currently, a physician’s order is not required for women over 40 to receive a screening mammogram. However, we do need the name of your physician to send the report too.
Most health insurances require one year and one day between screening mammograms.
The equipment is the latest technology and features soft paddles that flex with your body, minimizing pain. Our staff is very knowledgeable and accommodating, and they will make sure you are comfortable.
You will receive your results within 10 business days through the mail.
If something is found on a screening mammogram, you will be contacted to return for additional pictures.
You can still receive a mammogram on the Methodist Mobile 3D Mammography coach. Our team will contact your previous provider to obtain films from your most recent mammogram. Past exams are necessary to ensure that no changes have occurred in your breast health.
Preguntas frecuentes de los pacientes
-
No.
