Patient Transfer Center

Please contact us when you need to:

• Transfer a patient from your emergency department to a Methodist Health System facility for an inpatient stay
• Transfer a patient from your hospital inpatient bed to a Methodist Health System inpatient bed

The Transfer Coordinator will:

• Triage your call to the appropriate physician
• Complete the details necessary for admission
• Coordinate and expedite nursing unit and bed arrangements
• Contact you when a bed has been assigned
• Serve as a point-of-contact for transportation service updates

To request the transfer of a patient to Methodist Health System facilities, including Nebraska Methodist Hospital, Methodist Women’s Hospital and Methodist Fremont Health, please contact (402) 354-XFER.

To request transfer of patient to Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital, please contact (844) JENNIE1.

To facilitate expeditious handling of your call, please have the following information available:

• Patient name
• Patient date of birth
• Facility name
• Physician’s name and phone number
• Patient’s current level of care
• Patient’s current condition, including labs and vitals and time taken
