Tobacco Free Environment

Tobacco use is not consistent with Methodist Health System's mission to protect and improve the health of patients, residents, visitors and staff. Smoking and secondhand smoke are known to cause serious lung diseases, heart disease and cancer.

All Methodist properties are designated as tobacco-free environments. The use of tobacco (including cigarettes, cigars, chewing tobacco), e-cigarettes, and vapor pens are not permitted on any Methodist Health System-owned property, which includes but is not limited to, buildings, grounds, parking areas, walkways, and Methodist Health System-owned vehicles.

If you are a tobacco user, talk to your physician about tobacco alternatives during your stay at a Methodist facility. Methodist Health System also provides smoking cessation programs.
