Julie Murray

Vice President, Ancillary and Professional Services

After leading a financial turnaround at a hospital in Central City, Nebraska, Julie Murray returns to Methodist as vice president of ancillary and professional services.

As CEO of Bryan Health’s Merrick Medical Center/Litzenberg Memorial County Hospital since 2013, Murray spurred improvements in operations, physician recruitment and staff engagement. Her Methodist roots are deep: she served as director of hospital-based clinics and professional services for Methodist Hospital from 2010 to 2013, and she was an adjunct faculty member at Nebraska Methodist College from 2008 to 2013.

In her new role, Murray will have responsibility for professional and contractual arrangements as well as laboratory/pathology, imaging, pharmacy and oncology services for Methodist Hospital and Methodist Women’s Hospital.

Murray brings a wealth of experience to Methodist. She has served as operations director for clinics and business development as well as vice president for marketing and business development at MCH Health System in Blair. She has also worked as a consultant, helping regional health care organizations develop strategic plans and identify opportunities for financial and operational improvement.

She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska at Kearney and holds a master’s in management from Bellevue University. She is chair of the Nebraska Hospital Association Services Inc. board of directors and a member of the Nebraska Hospital Association’s Opioid Steering Council.

Murray and her husband, Ted, have three adult children.
