Information, Resources and Support for Caregivers

Acting as a caregiver for a loved one can be incredibly rewarding, but it also includes many physical, mental and emotional challenges. Caregivers can often feel overwhelmed by the decisions in front of them and may not be aware of all the resources available, both for themselves and their loved one.

Methodist understands the toll this can take on the care partner – a spouse, friend or family member who is assisting their loved one during their health and hospital journey – and beyond. We’re proud to offer Care Partner Connection: A free educational opportunity created specifically to address the unique challenges caregivers face every day.

Each hour-long session will focus on a different aspect of being a caregiver. The topics include:

  • Managing stress and difficult emotions
  • Navigating legal matters
  • Planning for the future
  • Connecting with community resources

Sessions are offered on the first and third Tuesday in June, July and August at noon. Attendees can join in person or virtually. In-person classes are held in the Latacha Education Center, located on the 9th floor of Methodist Hospital’s south tower.

If you would like to attend any of the sessions virtually, please click on the date below to register. Advance registration is not required if you plan on attending in person.
